BEV and FCV models Cloud Testing (Feb 2021 – Month 27)

Intermediate result from partners SISW, ULille, RTR, UBFC

This result has been achieved on November 2020 (BEV) and February 2021 (FCV), in month 24 and 27 of the project.

The Cloud offers on-demand computing services that have certain beneficial characteristics such as computation power, independent of the user’s device, or availability guaranteed through multiple redundant sites. It is thus of interest to consider the Cloud for the product life-cycle management of electric vehicles. The BEV and FCV models tranfered with Panda Explorer on the Cloud can be now simulated and validated using Amesim from any device with access to the internet.

  • Objective: Test the simulations for BEV and FCV with Cloud computing.
  • Result: Simulation tests on the Cloud of the BEV and FCV show computation times similar with a powerful local computer.
  • What will it be used for: Any of the partners can easily run Amesim simulations on the Cloud. Thus, it will facilitate the execution of BEV and FCV simulations.
  • Impact: Benefit the product life-cycle management of BEV/FCV by offering powerful computation resources independent of the user’s device, guaranteed availability through redundancy and maintainability, as it does not require Amesim on the user’s device.
