Renault Technologie Roumanie (RTR) is the only fully automotive engineering centre in Eastern Europe and the largest Renault engineering centre outside France, with about 2,300 engineers. RTR has as main activities: Engineering Design, Simulation, Testing and Calibration (for Vehicles, Thermal and Electric Engines and Gear Boxes) and Technological Development.
RTR develops new vehicles, in close collaboration with Renault’s central engineering team:
- developing new vehicles on Global Access series
- adapts the Global Access models for all the markets worldwide (derived versions, industrializations in
other plants) - coordinates the adaptation and the lifetime projects for the Global Access gasoline engines and for the
Renault manual gearboxes
RTR manages the Global Access Quality Worldwide.
