UBFC

Université de Bourgogne Franche Comté
The “Universite de Bourgogne Franche-Comte” (UBFC) with two of its members acting as linked third parties: the “Universite de Technologie Belfort-Montbeliard” (UTBM) and the “Universite de Franche Comte” (UFC) will work together on this project. UBFC (www.ubfc.fr) is a ComUE – a public institution created by the French law of July 22nd 2013, that has the same legal framework as a University (EPSCP), and whose members are public institutions of Higher Education and Research (HER) present on a territory.
UBFC has been created on the 1st April 2015 by the 6 main HER institutions of the “Bourgogne Franche-Comte” (BFC) territory (3 universities and 3 engineering/management schools). The UBFC member institutions have decided that UBFC will undertake EU research projects submitted by research institutions of BFC that will act as linked third parties. Such a possibility has been confirmed by the EU Commission in a note from DG RTD/DDG1.J/LDW/JD/mv from June 27, 2016.

FC-Lab
In the present project UTBM and UFC will act together. The main work will be performed at the Fuel Cell Lab (FC-LAB), referred to as the FR CNRS 3539 Research Federation. Here UBFC will represent its members and will take care of a part of administrative issues, while UTBM and UFC will carry out the R&I actions.

The UBFC focuses many of its projects and lectures on automotive, mobility and energy topics. With its competences on modeling and simulation, as well as its rich experience on fuel cell vehicle development, UBFC will lead WP1 “Methods”, and will also be in charge of the FCV reference vehicle in WP4 (Virtual testing) by leading T1.4 (Virtual testing of a FCV). The UBFC would expect the results from the PANDA project could contribute the trend of transportation electrification worldwide.
