Renault Zoe virtual validation (Oct 2020 – Month 23)

Intermediate result from partners SISW, RTR, ULille, UTCN, VUB

This result has been achieved in October 2020 in month 23 of the project.

Renault Zoe is one of the PANDA reference vehicles used to demonstrate the product life-cycle management of EV. It is used as a reference for BEV. An EMR model of the Renault Zoe was build, in Amesim, using the battery, e-drive, and vehicle dynamics models from earlier work within the Panda project. The Renault Zoe model is validated by comparing simulation data, from Amesim, with measurement data from a real Renault Zoe on different test scenarios. The validation ensures the quality of the predictions made through simulation and can be used for product life-cycle management.

  • Objective: Validate Renault Zoe models to ensure the quality of the simulations.
  • Result: Testing scenarios were defined, and data was collected from the designed experiments. Complete BEV models were built in Amesim simulations. The validation tests approve the model and simulation quality.
  • What will it be used for: The built BEV models can be used for the product life-cycle management of BEV.
  • Impact: The validation tests ensure that the models and simulations built, are in proper use and have an approved quality for their use in product life-cycle management.
